Aaron Fondry (born October 21, 1985), is an American professional mixed martial artist. He fights in the welterweight (170 lb) division and resides as the current champion of the Burlington Brawl with a perfect record of 4-0. He holds a Jiu Jitsu brown belt under Adam LaClair (Roy Harris school affiliate), with a competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu record of 32-3.
Fondry was born and raised in Barre, Vermont. He began wrestling at the young age of eight in a local youth program, winning 4 back to back youth state wrestling championships. He continued his wrestling career for his high-school on the varsity squad, competing in the 103, 119, and 130 pound weight classes over his four year span. He compiled a high school career record of 147-26, and was inducted into the Vermont "100 Wins" club his senior year.
Fondry started his MMA career at the Adam LaClair Mixed Martial Arts Academy. He trained under head coach Adam LaClair with an emphesis on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After a few successful jiu jitsu tournaments, Fondry became interested in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and he began to compete.
