David Loiseau (born December 17, 1979) is a Canadian mixed martial arts fighter from Montreal, Quebec. He has fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, EliteXC, and TKO Major League MMA and is the former TKO Middleweight Champion. He's the first french Canadian to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Loiseau was successful in his first UFC fight defeating Mark Weir by KO. He then faced Gideon Ray and won via TKO, Next he fought Charles McCarthy and won via TKO spinning back kick, and then he fought former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner and won via TKO. At UFC 58, Loiseau then fought UFC Middleweight Champion Rich "Ace" Franklin. He lost via unanimous decision.
On September 23, 2006 David Loiseau fought against Mike Swick at UFC 63. He lost via unanimous decision. Loiseau then fought Ed Herman at UFC 97 on April 18, 2009. He lost via unanimous decision. Loiseau was subsequently released from the UFC following his loss to Ed Herman. He next signed a contract with MFL to fight on February 27, 2010 in Montreal, Quebec with an opponent TBA.
David Loiseau has offered to give every penny of his next fight purse to help earthquake victims in Haiti. He appeared on MMA connected saying he hopes a big MMA organization signs him for his next fight, he says this has nothing to do with rekindling his career but to help those suffering in Haiti.
David is a rumored to be on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter coming up March 2010.
