Jared Hamman is an American mixed martial arts fighter who competes in the Light Heavyweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championships.

BiographyEdit

Prior to beginning his mixed martial arts career, Hamman played college football as a defensive end at the University of Redlands. In addition, Hamman received a B.A. in History from the school.[1]

Hamman began training mixed martial arts at the Unbreakable Gym under Brian Warren in November 2005 and made his professional debut in 2006. He currently trains with Vladimir Matyushenko on the VMAT team. Hamman received national attention while fighting for the now-defunct EliteXC under their ShoXC banner on the cable network Showtime, most notably for a two-fight series against B.J. Penn fighter Poai Suganuma.

Hamman is currently under contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He made his UFC debut against Alexander Gustafsson on November 14, 2009 at UFC 105.[2] Hamman lost via first round KO.

Hamman is scheduled to face Rodney Wallace on March 27, 2010 at UFC 111.[3]
