UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Gomi, also referred to as UFC Fight Night 21 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on March 31, 2010 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina,[2] This was the third time the UFC held an event in Charlotte, and the first since UFC 5.

BackgroundEdit

The event was the third UFC event in under two weeks along with UFC LIVE: Vera vs. Jones and UFC 111. The event also served as the lead-in program for The Ultimate Fighter 11.

A blackout occurred in the Bojangles Coliseum when Roy Nelson vs. Stefan Struve was being announced.

Brenneman defeated High via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
Harris defeated Miranda via TKO (punches) at 4:49 of round 1.
Okami defeated Linhares via TKO (doctor stoppage) at 2:47 of round 2.
Tibau defeated Uno via TKO (punches) at 4:13 of round 1. This bout aired on the live Spike broadcast following the Quarry vs. Rivera fight.
Lentz defeated Emerson via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28).
Volkmann defeated Torres via split decision (28-29, 30-27, 30-27).
Winner defeated Oliveira via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27).
